We're traveling back to Austria Tuesday and Wednesday. Please pray for a smooth trip with no troubles and our settling back into our regular life. The triplets turn 6 next Sunday, and first grade starts for them on September 1st.

PAUL SPARED

On July 28 Paul was on his way home from our base, taking the same path he always takes, when a motorbike with two men on it was approaching. They were dressed like jihadists. The one in the back raised his rifle, aimed at Paul and shot at him from a distance of about 16 feet/5 meters, then they raced away. The shooter had missed Paul which is a huge miracle. God protected Paul who was shaken up. The police came and has started an investigation to try to find the two men but so far they have no leads. Paul now takes a different route every day. Please continue praying for his protection.

NGOLO DELIVERED

Dara's village chief died not that long ago, and a new village chief was sworn in. Paul was at the ceremony and got to talk to the new village chief. Ngolo is his third son but he had lost his mind two years ago and caused a lot of trouble for his family and in the whole neighborhood, destroying things and being uncontrollable. Before that, he was known to be the best farmer around, his fields yielding more harvest than any other. His neighbor became jealous of him and went to a witch doctor to have a curse put on him, and that's how Ngolo lost his mind, unable to work any longer or live a normal life. His family took him to the best hospital in town where he stayed for a while but then the doctors sent him home as there was nothing they could do for him.

Two years had passed. A member of our church in Dara suggested to Ngolo's family that the Christians could pray for him, and they were okay with that. For one week, all the Christians in town, i.e. our church there, prayed for him. Then Paul went to his house with a few believers to pray for him directly. Ngolo became so enraged and violent when he saw the Christians that several of the church members fled. The second time Paul went there, Ngolo wanted to run away from the Christians. Paul and a few believers returned a third and a fourth time to pray for him, and the fourth time he was delivered. He was in his right mind again and went back to farming, being once again the best farmer near and far. His neighbor was so upset about that that he moved out of town. As for Ngolo, he and his wife have become believers in Jesus, while his father, the village chief, is very interested in finding out more about our powerful God.

The second picture shows Ngolo with one of the two local pastors Paul has trained up in Dara.

YAKORO CONVICTED

Yakoro is a former government deputy and current adviser to the village chief of his district within Bamako where he lives. He is originally from Dara and still has a big farm there, right next to Ngolo. As his neighbor, he followed all the events that had been taking place in recent years and weeks. He was very impacted when he saw Ngolo delivered after the Christians had prayed for him and wanted to become a follower of Jesus as well. However, every time he wanted to approach Paul to talk to him about it, something told him to stay away from him.

Time went on, and then one day he had a vision. Jesus appeared to him and told him that he needed to come to Him right away, and so he did. He is on fire for Jesus and wants to start a Bible discovery group in his home.

MAYMOUNA PROTECTED

Maymouna is a Christian in our church in Sebela. A few years ago her husband went to Algeria to make his way to Europe and was never heard from again. She now raises her five children on her own.

It is rainy season right now. It was raining one night recently while she was praying when she heard a sound. She and her children left the house and went to their neighbor. The next morning they saw the wall of their mud brick house and were amazed that the house had not crumbled on top of them. She knows that God had kept the wall up supernaturally to protect her and her children.

Unfortunately the damage cannot be repaired. The house has to be torn down and rebuilt. The believers in the village are going to rebuild her house for her but they have to wait for rainy season to be over first. Unfortunately the Christian neighbors that gave her emergency housing do not have enough space fo the 6 of them. She would like to rent a house for the next 4 months or so until she can move into her new house but does not have the funds for the rent which is $28 per month. If you would like to help her, please let me know.

QUICK NEWS

  •        Daily Blog - If you are not on Facebook but would still like to read my (nearly) daily blog about our life (with the triplets), including pictures, you can do so on our website. Go to https://h2tni.org/blog/.
  •        Triplets - The kids have enjoyed their 8 weeks in the US, meeting lots of great people and other kids, having fun with them, as well as doing lots of fun stuff. But they have also missed Austria and are looking forward to our return - especially since it's their birthday on the 25th, and then they start first grade on September 1st.
  •        Summer in the USA - We are finishing 8 weeks of traveling, ministering and connecting with friends in the USA. We were also able to be at a Global Awakening (Randy Clark) conference where the kids encountered God at their kids' conference. Emmanuel was actually Heidi Baker's personal assistant while praying - for the kids as well as the adults the next day. And Randy and I were also refreshed. God spoke some things to me that made a big difference. All glory to Him!
  •        Situation in Mali - The government in Mali continues throwing anyone who is critical of them into jail. They have just foiled a coup from within the Malian army, arresting two top generals. The jihadists continue attacking and have recently been targeting Chinese operations in Mali and kidnapping Chinese nationals. As they're still waiting for our return to kidnap us, we cannot travel to Mali for the time being.
  •        Back to School - In a few weeks the children in Mali start the new academic year. It's the most challenging time for us financially as it takes around $10,000 to pay the first installment of school fees, school uniforms and school supplies for the 50 children in our sponsorship program. Please pray or give as possible. Thank you.
  •        Malian Director Paul - Please pray for Paul who carries the full weight of the work in Mali on his shoulders. Pray also for his safety as he moves around a lot, while jihadists are increasing their attacks everywhere. His wife Rokia is expecting her fourth child.

A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
(Mat 13:3-8)
